 Here's a simple concept. Great fulfillment starts with getting the right message to the right audience, but it's not as easy as it seems.
Mail automation and printing is a manufacturing process, and it involves many possible combinations of components, and many strategies for delivery. Many fulfillment providers actually farm out this process to other vendors, or locate the mail automation and printing facility away from the customer service department. As a result communication is difficult between customer service reps who cannot easily access their jobs and communication lettershop, this leaves a huge margin for error.
PSA's lettershop is located "right across the hall" from our Customer Service Representative area, and right next to  the Fulfillment Services and IT Department. There's a constant flow of communication between the customer service reps, fulfillment managers, the people laser imaging our letters, renewals and invoices and our letter-shop staff.
Our lettershop manager is world class, and has been in the business for decades, and our lettershop workers have been with us for years.
We get the right mailing to the right subscribers at the right time.
